What the Colors Mean
The app uses colored badges throughout to show the status of records at a glance. Here is what each color means in each area of the app.
The color system at a glance
| Color | General meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | All good. No action needed. |
| Amber / Orange | Needs attention. Review before proceeding. |
| Red | Blocked or failed. Action required. |
| Blue | In progress or informational. |
| Gray | Inactive, archived, or not started. |
Field worker status
Found on the People → Field Workers list.
| Badge | Color | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Green | This worker is currently employed and clocking in. Their records appear in reports and invoices. |
| Inactive | Gray | This worker is no longer active. Their historical records still exist, but they do not appear in live reports. |
Clock-in records
Found on People → Active Sign-Ins and in worker detail pages.

|---|---|---|
| Still clocked in | Shown as a live row | The worker is currently on the clock. No clock-out time recorded yet. |
| Void | Gray | This record was marked void — it will not count in payroll or reports. |
Time correction status
Found on People → Time Corrections.
| Badge | Color | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Gray | The correction has been created but not submitted for review yet. |
| Pending | Blue | The correction is waiting for an accounting or admin user to approve or reject it. |
| Succeeded | Green | The correction was approved and the fix was written back to the Google Sheet successfully. |
| Failed | Red | The write-back to the spreadsheet hit an error. An admin needs to investigate and resolve it. |
| Manual Review | Red / Amber | The changed field cannot sync automatically. Someone must apply the fix directly in the Google Sheet. |
Invoice status
Found on the Invoices page preview table.
| Badge | Color | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Ready | Green | This worker/company row has hours and a rate — an invoice can be generated. |
| Needs Review | Amber | Something is missing (hourly rate, company mapping, or hours total). Resolve it before generating. |
| Generated | Blue | An invoice has already been created for this row. You can view it by clicking the row. |
| Sent | Gray | The invoice has been marked as sent to the client. |
Contractor Insurance (CIP) status
Found on Reports → Contractor Insurance.
| Badge | Color | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Ready | Green | All records and corrections on this job are resolved. The CIP hours package is complete. |
| Needs Review | Amber | There are open clock-in records or pending corrections on this job. Resolve them to move to Ready. |
| Blocked | Red | There are failed or unresolvable corrections on this job. Action is required before this job's hours can be certified. |
Weekly Report (crew packet) status
Found on Hours → Weekly Report.

|---|---|---|
| Ready | Green | This crew's packet is ready to send. Hours are verified and recipients are set up. |
| Needs Review | Amber | There are issues with this crew's packet — missing recipients, open records, or unverified hours. |
| Blocked | Red | A blocking issue prevents the packet from being sent. Review the packet for error details. |
| Sent | Gray | The packet has been delivered to the foreman. |
Weekly verification status
Found inside the Weekly Report packet detail.

|---|---|---|
| Unverified | Amber | Hours have not been verified yet for this worker this week. |
| Verified | Green | Hours are confirmed. |
| Delivered | Blue | The hours packet was sent to the foreman for sign-off. |
| Approved | Green | The foreman confirmed these hours. |
| Rejected | Red | The foreman flagged an issue with these hours. Review the rejection reason. |
User account status
Found on Settings → User Access.
| Badge | Color | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Green | This person can log in and use the app normally. |
| Limited | Amber | This person has restricted access. They can log in but may not be able to see all pages. |
| Inactive | Gray | This account is disabled. The person cannot log in. |
General rule
When in doubt: green means done, amber means look at it, and red means something is broken. If you see a red badge and are unsure what to do, check Troubleshooting or ask your admin.
